Isabel and Gabriel have become the most admired 90 Day Fiance couple. They made their debut in The Other Way, and the latter became the first transgender castmate to feature in the franchise. The previous episodes revealed that Gabe and Isabel couldn’t marry each other because of some paperwork setbacks. Now that the American man is back in his native land to get the proper documents, his mother and sister have doubts regarding his relationship and marriage. In fact, they wanted Gabe to get a “prenup” before the wedding.

Many 90 Day Fiance fans got mesmerized by Isabel and Gabe’s love story on screen. So far, they haven’t had any intense fights or red flags. But things didn’t work out in their favor as Gabe had to return to the US because he didn’t have the proper documents to marry his ladylove. As per Thehollywoodlife, the promo has revealed that Gabe’s sister, Monica, and his mother are highly skeptical about his marriage. They insisted that he should get a prenup. The main castmate replied that getting it would be like setting up the marriage for “failure.”
Gabe’s family wondered if Isabel would get a job if they married. He revealed that she was going to help him with his business instead. His sister said getting a pre-nup is more like getting “protection” and an “insurance policy.” That’s when Gabriel expressed frustration to the cameras by saying that his elder sister tends to “overanalyze” everything. He also admitted that his sister had caused problems in his previous relationships. The 90 Day Fiance star was worried that Monica would do the same for him in Isabel after coming to Columbia.

When it was time for Gabe and Isabel to tie the knot in Columbia, they were unable to do so. Viewers must be aware by now that Gabe is a transgender man. This means he was biologically a female before he underwent surgery. Hence, he lacked a birth certificate saying that he was a male. Therefore, the couple was unable to tie the knot in the previous episodes of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. Well, the state of Columbia is quite progressive when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community. It became one of the very first states to also recognize the third gender via the High Court.
As far as Gabriel obtaining the correct birth certificate is concerned, he had to fly back to America for the same. It is a process in which the state has to get involved and give approval. However, some “rush orders” do get approved immediately. But there is no confirmation of how long this process will take for Gabe and Isabel.
