Sumit’s father, Anil, offered Jenny and Sumit his blessing at the Happily Ever After Tell All. When the TLC couple, Sumit and Jenny, married without Sumit’s parent’s approval, his mother remains at odds. During Sunday’s tell-all episode, Sumit’s father said that there was a time when his wife was not talking to Sumit at all. She didn’t even want to see his face. But Sumit’s father revealed that now his mother makes enough to talk with him. He said the relationship between Sumit and his mother is now normal.
Although Sumit’s relationship with his mother is finally getting better, things with Jenny are still the same. However, in the Tell All episode, his father revealed that as his mother is against their relationship, she could not make up for the episode. Sumit’s family has stated that they are fine with their son attending family gatherings as long as he does not go with Jenny.
