General Hospital went through a lot of policy changes in the previous couple of years. All of those changes translated to changes in the cast, crew, and on-screen portrayals in a massive manner. Remember how the COVID policy changes caused fans to lose Steve Burton as Jason Morgan? And the battle between actor, Ingo Rademacher and the ABC soap is still going on over his axing. Recently, the soap incorporated some more policy changes regarding babies, which led to them casting older babies as newborn Ace and Amelia.
Now, the latest news on the block is that General Hospital star, Laura Wright is contemplating leaving due to a new policy. However, thankfully this time it has nothing to do with ABC network, or the legacy soap! Recently, Laura took to her official Twitter account to express her shock over losing her verified blue tick! Turns out, she’s not the only one. Celebrities and public figures all over the globe are losing the blue tick. Unless they choose to subscribe to Twitter Blue.
Laura Wright wrote on Twitter that her checkmark is gone, and she doesn’t know much longer she will stick around on the social media network. Furthermore, she added in a following tweet that she prefers spending more time on Instagram anyway. As soon as she spoke about leaving, General Hospital fans went in a frenzy and started requesting her not to leave. Some even tried to argue that a tick mark doesn’t really matter. However, the actress countered that it does matter, because now, anyone can claim to be her and that’s scary!
General Hospital star, Laura Wright is not the only one worrying about being impersonated! The Bold and The Beautiful star, Sean Kanan, posted a similar worry on his account. The actor stated that he wouldn’t care about a blue tick if it didn’t keep him from people with “nefarious intentions” trying to impersonate him. On the flip side, there are many people who are okay with Twitter’s policy change. They feel that it is a business at the end of the day.
