Mama June has had a chaotic relationship with her kids. Her girls have often slammed her for not being there when they needed her the most. Evidently, the star’s never-ending list of toxic partners and addictions has kept her away from focusing on her family. This led to an estranged bond that June now shares with all her girls. In a recent trailer of the upcoming season, Pumpkin called her mom out for neglecting the ‘child support’ amount of Honey Boo Boo while she was spending $300 on shoes!
Mama June: Pumpkin Slams Mom For Neglecting Alana’s ‘Child Support’
Mama June failed to maintain a healthy relationship with her kids. She was more focused on drugs and going on vacations with her boyfriends. Hence, her girls decided to part ways with their mother and find their own way. In 2019 things took a U-turn when June had to go behind bars for possessing drugs. That was the moment when Lauryn lost faith in the matriarch and decided to apply for her sister Alana’s custody. The judge was practical enough to award the sole custody of the star kid to Lauryn.
Apparently, Mama June was supposed to pay $800 per month in child support from her $25,000 per month income. In a recent trailer, Lauryn’s husband, Josh, questioned how Shannon was frivolously spending $300 on Alana’s shoes while she was once about to give up on her. He further wondered if the matriarch was trying to “buy love” of someone of whom she wasn’t even “willing” to pay child support. Pumpkin agreed that June believes “shoes” or other things would “fix” everything. However, she made it clear that she won’t let her mom escape and will make her pay the child support amount of Honey Boo Boo. The star kid was sure that their relationship would never be the same as it used to be in the past.
Mama June: Alana & Shannon Break Down Into Tears During Emotional Confrontation
It is a known fact that Mama June doesn’t have a great bond with Honey Boo Boo. The same will be featured in the upcoming season of Mama June: Family Crisis. In one of the recent trailers, the mother-daughter duo burst into tears after they had an emotional confrontation. In the clip, Alana went to a “therapy session” with Shannon after hesitating initially. Their therapist tried to explain, “New beginnings. Or new endings? Everyone may not want to move forward,” which made Alana and June emotional.
Mama June confessed with tears in her eyes that she really “needed” her daughters in her life. However, it seems that Alana wasn’t convinced by her mother’s tears and claimed that she had actually “disappointed” her a lot.
