Devon Hamilton has been doing well for himself on The Young and The Restless. For the most part of his journey on the soap, the best familial relationship he has ever had, has been with Lily. Recently, the siblings got embroiled in a professional feud. However, neither of them could stand the pressure it was causing on their personal bond. Hence, they dropped their feud and saved their relationship. Something that rarely ever happens on soaps.
While, Devon successfully saved himself from familial drama with Lily, it seems there is plenty more of it coming his way on The Young and The Restless. In 2022, Trevor St. John returned to the soap as Devon’s bio-dad, Tucker McCall. Although he blasted into Genoa City hot on Ashley’s tail, a reunion with Devon was also a factor! However, he hasn’t really been able to get too far in building a substantial bond with his son. Moreover, according to the latest spoilers, that task could soon become all the more challenging. As, actress Chene’ Lawson is all set to return as Devon’s mom, Harmony, a.k.a. Yolanda!
Devon’s Bizarre Family Reunion On The Young and The Restless
Long-time fans would remember that Chene’ Lawson debuted as Yolanda way back in 2005 on The Young and The Restless. At the time, she was young, wild, and a drug dabbler. She conceived Devon after a hookup with Tucker. However, the truth about her being his bio-mom stayed under wraps for years since she had abandoned Devon. Later, Yolanda/Harmony returned to GC in 2011 and stuck around for a year. Actress Debbi Morgan played Harmony during this period. During 2011-212, Harmony managed to strike a chord with Devon. But, she abandoned him yet again, and hasn’t been heard from ever since.
The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Chene’ Lawson will now reprise the character for several episodes, starting May 5, 2023. We wonder what her return would mean for Tucker and Ashley. Moreover, will Devon give his mother another chance after the way she abandoned him last time? Is there any chance he would embrace this family reunion he never even asked for?
